Wee Wallace Prepares to Make His Debut

Jeni is 35 weeks pregnant, today: Wee Wallace is by all accounts doing well, and his mother is looking good — although the extreme Tennessee summer heat is treating her with extreme cruelty.

We have been preparing like crazy for the baby’s arrival (our first child), but I still feel like there are a hundred things left to do.

Sometimes I feel scared that I already seem too, too busy, and the baby hasn’t even been born yet… Yet I’m also stupidly excited to meet him.

Best wishes to you all.

  1. You’ll be fine. The first child is something of an experiment but will survive your worst mistakes. Congratulations and just enjoy your baby in between diaper changing and bouts of gas. You’ll be pros in no time. I promise.

  2. Your wife has the most amazing taste in preggo wear. All I remember was a lot of sack dresses by the last trimester. That, and a lot of whining. Give backrubs. I remember not be able to be comfortable no matter what I did. I can’t imagine the heat helps either. And no, you can never be prepared enough. Babies are prone to random acts of birth that will put all your well-laid plans to disordered chaos. Enjoy!
